As ‘Land Advisor’ to Barnsley MBC, under the Landsolve Framework, we developed an outline stage masterplan for a 22.45 acre plot into a successful mixed use, community scheme. The land was publicly owned by the Council, South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services and the scheme includes a fire station, community hub, 140 homes, green space, leisure, an academy and learning disability day centre. Stakeholder management was key to its success; designed to create wellbeing by sustainably boosting the local economy.
